December 2018 Recap

By |January 1st, 2019|Categories: Blog Recaps and Roundups|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

This was a weird month. I didn't feel very Christmasy even though I did a lot of Holiday things. I think it was the weather. We didn't get snow until December 31st. Rocker Santa Isaac Joe Dave This month I went to a The Fray concert. I went alone for the first time, but still managed to get front row, but a little left than center that I would normally get. I had so much fun! Sadly didn't score a setlist this time. Tessa turned 10 years old! How is that possible!

Fall is my favorite season. Its also Tessa's as she loves to eat leaves: Β  View this post on Instagram Β  It's going to snow tomorrow so made sure Tessa got to do her favorite fall activity: leaf eating. A post shared by Lili (@liliontheloose) on Oct 13, 2018 at 3:07pm PDT What's new this month is that I discovered Bullet Journaling this month. Essentially it's using a journal as a productivity tool with some art thrown in. Of course, that meant many trips to craft stores, and discovering AliExpress (and buying way too many .10 stickers and washi tape.)

March 2018 Recap

By |April 6th, 2018|Categories: Blog Recaps and Roundups|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

Travel This month was the month of opposite travel: Pacific Ocean/Atlantic Ocean, Pleasure/Business Trip, Hot/Cold. At the beginning of the month I went toΒ Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a beach break! And then at the end of the month I went to Boston, MA for a quick business trip! Puerto Vallarta This was an unplanned last minute trip. My mother was going to go to PV again with my aunt, but my aunt backed out. So my mother invited me to come, and then my aunt figured things out so she could come! I've never traveled with the two of them

My Top Instagrams from 2017

I'm a bit devastated to learn that the best 9 doesn't take into account multi-photo Instagram posts, so some of my best photos aren't represented here. Alas, that means this wall leans heavily to Halloween with just one dog and travel photo! Be sure to check out more here and to follow me!

I had been seeing those "7 Day Black and White" posts on Facebook for a while, but didn't feel artistic at the time. But as my business trip early in the month was coming up, I got inspired and decided to do it as well. Here are my 7 days of Black and White photography. Day 1: Ornate Christmas Tree decorations at the Denver Christkindl Market Day 2: I found one of the infamous Pink Doll's heads that have been popping up around Denver in the last few years. This one is near Larimer Square. Day 3: A Wandmaster at

Local Art: The Art Vending Machine Built on Trust

By |December 12th, 2017|Categories: Art, Local|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

In a world where we can have almost anything on demand, Fine Art is something still out of reach for many people. That is why I've been fascinated by so-calledΒ "Art Vending Machines", but had yet to see one in person. So when I heard about Blue Chipped an exhibit at Understudy in Downtown Denver, I had to check it out. I’m sitting inside this blue kiosk downtown from 4-8 pm TODAY πŸ’™serving up mini $20 paintings and 1 trillion calories of free blue candy and hot teas... you should come say hi to me through the kiosk windows! πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ΅πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ΅πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ A

Museum Monday: Carnotaurus

By |December 11th, 2017|Categories: Dinosaurs, Museums, Travel|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

Watching the new Jurassic World trailer was mixed feelings. I love that there are more dinosaurs, but I hated the cut of the trailer. However, it was cool to see a Carnotaurus featured in the trailer as I had just seen a fossil version at the Denver Museum a few weeks before! Carnotaurus means "Meat Eating Bull" and it lived during the late Cretaceous period in the South America area. If you go: The Ultimate Dinosaurs exhibit runs from October 6th through January 15th at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd, Denver 80205. The exhibit is

Museum Monday: Mesolite Crystals

By |November 27th, 2017|Categories: Museums, Travel|Tags: , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

Mesolite is a beautiful clear/white crystal, that often forms fibrous like crystals. This specimen on view at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science was found in Poona, India. It looks like a fluffy white puff ball. Museum Monday is an every other week series about museum news, objects, and reviews.
