Travel Luck: Puppies on a Plane

By |September 2nd, 2019|Categories: Travel, Travel Memories|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

One of my bucket list items was to sit next to a cute puppy on a flight. I've seen dogs on planes before, such as service dogs or older small dogs in carriers, but I was never near enough to pet the dog. So I was delighted to see this little pup standing in front of me on a Southwest flight a few years ago. She was flying from Denver to Orange County by her breeder, to meet her forever home. She was a Bernese Mountain Dog 8 week pup! She was very well behaved and was quiet throughout the

I'm a bit devastated to learn that the best 9 doesn't take into account multi-photo Instagram posts, so some of my best photos aren't represented here. Alas, that means this wall leans heavily to Halloween with just one dog and travel photo! Be sure to check out more here and to follow me!

Travel Missteps: Security Scare

By |December 18th, 2017|Categories: Travel, Travel Missteps|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

I'm currently on the second of three trips this month! But earlier this month I was in California for work, and on the way home triggered a massive security response at John Wayne Airport. You know...the usual. Fearing traffic, I got to the airport very early. That is when I realized Orange County Airport is pretty small and that I had a full bottle of water still to drink. So I found a bench and sat for an hour before heading through security. The bench I picked was occupied by a 40-50's gentleman with his stuff strewn all over. He was on

Fall Colours – Yellow

By |September 30th, 2016|Categories: Local, Nature & Outdoors, Photography|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

By my old condo, there was a ditch with many trees. The wind would blow all the leaves from the neighborhood into this ditch, and it would reach 3 feet high in some places. It was one of my favorite places during the fall. Huge yellow leaves up above, crunchy brown ones below. I enjoyed kicking and jumping in the leaves, while my dog loved jumping and eating the leaves. Seriously, she eats them up like potato chips. Every Friday Lili shares her favorite photography & the stories behind the photos.

Egypt Travelogue: Day 6, Part 4 – Sick at the Library of Alexandria

By |April 13th, 2016|Categories: Travel, Travel Memories, Travelogue|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

This is my travel diary of my trip to Egypt. It contains in detail my memories of what I did and saw. Tuesday October 27, 2015 Egypt: Day 6, Part 4 – Sick at the Library of Alexandria As the dark clouds swirled overhead, but offered no more rain, we made our way to the Library of Alexandria. It was slow going through the streets and we were quite hungry. Every fruit stall we passed many of my fellow travelers lamented that they wanted "real fruit" not the faux sugary substances we were finding in the morning buffets. Mikel promised us

Fluffball Friend of 7 Years

By |January 29th, 2016|Categories: Photography|Tags: , , |0 Comments

7 years ago on a cold wintery night, I was up late scouring craigslist for a red cocker spaniel puppy. My roommate wanted to get another dog so her's wouldn't be lonely. However, this roommate was making me take care of her dog, who was so big he could drag me. I said I didn't want another big dog in the house, and instead thought about getting me my own dog. So when it was 1AM and I saw a posting from a "Mother Dog" stating that she and her doggie hubby got "frisky" before he had his surgery and had
