Travel This month was the month of opposite travel: Pacific Ocean/Atlantic Ocean, Pleasure/Business Trip, Hot/Cold. At the beginning of the month I went toĀ Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a beach break! And then at the end of the month I went to Boston, MA for a quick business trip! Puerto Vallarta This was an unplanned last minute trip. My mother was going to go to PV again with my aunt, but my aunt backed out. So my mother invited me to come, and then my aunt figured things out so she could come! I've never traveled with the two of them

So... I may have gone a little overboard this month. I decided I wanted to do more this year. See more museum exhibits, go to more events, things like that. So I spent the better part of a morning like most people in Denver trying to get Hamilton tickets...and failing. So instead I booked the following activities for this year: Aladdin Book of Mormon Degas at the DAM Dead Sea Scrolls at DMNS Lewis Black Steve Martin & Martin Short Oh and I booked a trip to LA to see the King Tut exhibit (in addition to numerous other famous

January was the completion of a major work project, so didn't do much outside of that. We did have a work kickoff, which everyone left a little worse for wear (drinking + the death flu went through the office. As well as night I got locked out of my house as I left my keys at the office so had to sleep at a co-worker's house.) Tessa this month fell in love with a Porg stuffed animal that makes noise, and was sad when I took it away from her. I also got to see the National Stock Show parade

December was a really weird and busy month for me. I had two business trips and a personal trip, making me travel all over the country. And it was a busy month for work, which is unusual this time of year. So I didn't get into the full Christmas spirit that I usually do. I did manage to put up and light my tree, but lost out of time and energy to decorate it besides a few ornaments I got this month during my travels. Travel When I first started doing these recaps I based it on the variety of

Fall and Halloween is my favorite time of the year. So many fun activities! Early in the month I went to Dinos After Dark at the Denver Zoo and saw some amazing pumpkin carvings and dinosaurs! Then in the middle of the month I went to a haunted house with some co-workers. And of course, it wouldn't be Halloween without some kick ass costumes! This year I was Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus! My backup costume was a Jurassic Park Labtech. Fall is my favorite season! Here are some reasons why! It's time to go back to Hogwarts! And this year was the year of "19 Years Later..." Halloween Decorating can start! I was excited that Dino SkeletonsĀ are big this year. (Tessa is not a fan.) And it's soup weather! (Or at least it should be. It was 80 degrees when we went to go get ramen.) And its the best time for farmer's markets and visiting my college town of Boulder. Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose This month I recalled some of 2016's fall memories like this beautiful fall

This month was the three E's at work. Elitches, Eclipse, Escape! This month we had a company Elitches day (a local Denver theme park). I was worried that I'd be bored, as I don't like most rides. But I had some great coworkers that got me to take baby steps with various rides before convincing me to ride a real roller coaster! First time ever in my life! I found if I close my eyes, its not bad at all. (Probably from all the dark jostling in the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride!) Then we did a morning

Not much going on this month. I did get a new phone (my first in 4 years!) So that was exciting. But I was also sad to hear about Chester Bennington's death. I went to a Vikings exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and a Rockies game with my company. Here my team getting ready for the game: Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose So, there were a lot of Egypt posts this month. June was a busy month! First there were epic paintball battles! And then it was ladies' paint night with the girls! And then it was my trip to Panama.... Travel Panama has been on my wishlist for a while, as I heard they had great beaches and good snorkeling! I decided on a longer trip that also went to parts of Costa Rica I hadn't been to before. This was the first time I tried not to have everything planned and instead go with the flow! Highlights Going clubbing for the first time! Relaxing views like this one! And it
