Hanging Out
I love hammocks. This was when I was in Costa Rica the first time back in 2012. Every Friday Lili shares her favorite photography & the stories behind the photos.

This was a slow month. We still had some major snowstorms and hail. I also went to a Gluten Free Food festival and had a blast. Found a lot of new products to try out! Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose My favorite post of the month: Han Solo in Carbonite Lunch Box. Other Blogs Top two articles I read were these churches in Rome, and this great article a college friend, Becky, wrote on a Van Gogh Exhibit. Books After finishing the Book of Life, I read the spin off book Time's Covenant. I had heard the person who
Today is Geek Pride Day! So I wanted to share my Han Solo Carbonite lunchbox and X-Wing straw I got for lunch a few years ago when visiting Disneyland. Souvenir Saturday is an every-other week series on the items that represent travel memories.
I use to live across the street from a field where hot air balloons took of from. It would be fun to wake up and see them slowly drift off above us. Every Friday Lili shares her favorite photography & the stories behind the photos.
I spent most of the month in and out of doctors appointments trying to figure out what was wrong. We did find it out, but it took a while. Beyond that I had a work trip to Atlanta, Georiga. I didn't get to do anything fun outside of work, mostly because the only free night, the hotel I was staying at gave me food poisoning and I spent the entire afternoon/night being sick. BOO. I really wanted to go to the famous Aquarium there, but alas it wasn't meant to be. Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose My favorite post
The small Venetian island of Murano is known for its fine glasswork. On a rainy New Year's Day I picked up these small quarter sized pieces of Murano glass that were created into necklaces as they were the cheapest "Murano Glass" I could afford. A few years ago the Denver Art Museum had a great exhibit called Star Wars: The Power of Costumes. In honor of the upcoming Star Wars Day I wanted to share some of the great designs and drawings that were displayed. My top favorite was this design of a shell like hairstyle for Padme. More early Padme designs, I like the bottom one of the one below, based on a victorian dress. This design was actually created by George Lucas himself, and the museum did a good job showcasing the materials used to make the costumes. Another unused design, this proves

Jet-lagged. Tired. One last layover before home. Store was about to close and I grabbed this. I hadn't been outside of the airport, but for some reason I had to have this for my collection. It was impulsive and stupid and every time I see it I wonder why I bothered. I have since been to North Carolina (but not the coast) at least I can say I have been there now! Disney does a great job of lighting their attractions at night. I was pleasantly surprised by the lighting for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Every Friday Lili shares her favorite photography & the stories behind the photos.
