I didn't really do anything in May other than get ready for my June Panama trip. So here is a random dream I had: I had one of those stress-travel dreams (except I don't get that stressed, it's mostly, "wow this is not going well" plus it was all dreamland like where it wasn't like any normal trip.) At some point we finally board the plane. The guy next to me is telling me about his awesome bag (I had been IRL looking at bags before going to bed) he then points to this thing on top of his bag. This is

Not much too exciting other than I finally am able to afford another trip. This time to Panama and Costa Rica! So let the travel planning commence! Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose I'm still making my way through all my Egypt posts. My favorite this month were: How my plans for a quick one-day snorkeling trip in Egypt was derailed. A beautiful photo of the falcon at Edfu Temple. The time I got suckered into buying papyrus. Why Electrolyte Powder Needs to be in your Travel Kit. My other favorite posts this month were showing my Larimar jewelry from

March 2017 Recap

This month I was a series of highs and lows. On the good front, I had a fantastic Girl's Night with my friends. We went to a Wine and Painting night, and it was STAR WARS NIGHT. We painted the Death Star! I had so much fun! At one point, a guy behind me kept telling his friends "I want to just fucking spit on her painting. It looks so good I need to fucking ruin it." With his friends hushing him and telling him that was wrong. I just smiled and was like "Damn fucking right." And drank another drink. So

Beyond a sudden burst of interest in politics, I didn't do anything too exciting this month. Sure I turned 31, but having a birthday near Valentine's Day and a 3 day President's Day weekend makes it hard to plan things. I'm still wanting to get together a group of people later on to do an escape/puzzle room as a belated birthday celebration. Oh! In other news I won a contest and finally got my prize! I cannot wait to try out the Go-Pro! Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose One of my favorite stories I told this month is how

So first there was an Inauguration and then the next day there was a massive march of Women.  I wasn't planning on attending, the introvert in me likes to stay home. But late the night before my friends asked if anyone wanted to go, and so off we went! About 100k to 200k people were there for the march that day. It was so much fun, everyone friendly and helpful, singing and chanting. It was a calm and happy atmosphere. I'm so glad I went! Ah the lovely Christmas season in December! I had a great month! Locally I went to the Denver Botanical Gardens Blossoms of Light for the first time! Travel I spent Christmas in San Francisco! This was my second time to San Fran, but the last time was after I recently had ankle surgery and so couldn't really walk that far. So this time I was all GO GO GO! I did and saw so much but still need to make it back! I also got approved for Global Entry/TSA PreCheck! So no more SSSS list cause I'm a Trusted Traveler now!!

This was a pretty quiet month. I started out incredibly sick, then felt shitty due to the Election, but then turned it around with 3 Thanksgivings! Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose My favorite Travel Misstep this month was the time I learned my ancestors betrayed their countrymen. And I started to get in the Christmas spirit by sharing photos of this lovely Manger Market in Munich. Other Blogs I stumbled upon a list of the top 10 best dinosaur museums from CNN. Take a gander at this stunning stargazing photography at ancient sites from National Geographic. The New York

It was a tough month, my childhood dog Holly passed away at nearly 16 years old. She had a good last day, sunny, with walks and tons of treats. Travel I had a last minute work trip to Orlando, FL and decided to spend the weekend going to Disney World and Universal Studios. It actually was great to help get my mind off of Holly. Highlights I went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and had so much fun! Fewer people, not long lines. I saw the Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters show, met Jack Sparrow, and road some roller

This month wasn't too exciting, unless you count having an allergic reaction to pine nuts which turned everything I ate for 2 weeks to have a bad metallic taste. Travel I stayed local this month, which this time of year is beautiful  in Colorado. I drove up into the mountains to experience the lovely fall aspens and managed to see an early snowstorm as well. This month stuck around town for the most part. Kites on Larimer today! A photo posted by Lili (@liliontheloose) on Aug 9, 2016 at 3:55pm PDT At work we went to a Rockies Game! And I finally got my Hogwarts Letter! Just in time for September 1st! Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose I got into the fall spirit a little early with my travelogue post on Halloween in Egypt.
