holly

It was a tough month, my childhood dog Holly passed away at nearly 16 years old. She had a good last day, sunny, with walks and tons of treats.

I had a last minute work trip to Orlando, FL and decided to spend the weekend going to Disney World and Universal Studios. It actually was great to help get my mind off of Holly.

Highlights

  • I went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and had so much fun! Fewer people, not long lines. I saw the Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters show, met Jack Sparrow, and road some roller coasters. I’d highly recommend it.

  • I got a chance to visit both sides of Harry Potter World at Universal, it was a dream come true! 14884550_10104433060413293_3846483810496366094_o

Challenges

  • The lotion I used triggered the Explosive Trace Detection System at the airport. My hands, my clothes, and my bags. It took over an hour, and I got pulled into a back room. (However, the TSA agents were amazing and hilarious, and amazed at my packing skills.)
  • It was tough going on a business trip right after Holly had died. I felt nauseous and couldn’t eat. I really struggled on the airplane.
  • Earlier in the year I had hoped to go to Orlando for 2 weeks and instead had to take all those plans and fit it into 2 days.

Lili on the Loose

This month is my favorite. Fall colors, fall weather, and HALLOWEEN. Here are my favorite fall posts from this month:

  • Charlie Eagle Plume’s – This photo was taken a few years ago, but I love the fall leaves in this photo.
  • The Dueling Grounds of Bath – I love ghost stories and so it was so much fun to go on a ghost tour of Bath, England.
  • Death Ships on the Nile – There are so many mothballed cruise ships on the Nile, and it was a weird experience walking through them in Luxor.

TV

Fall TV is in full swing this month so I was busy getting caught up. I’m really enjoying the new series like Notorious and Designated Survivor. I also got hooked on a British panel show called “Would I Lie To You”? This is the clip that got me laughing so hard:
