In May I really started settling into this new life. Tessa and I went on many walks, with many many pinecones being brought back as trophies. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lili Armstrong (@liliontheloose) I finally saw Mom and Dad for the first time. They came over for a socially distance "Let's put Lili's Bike together" and we gave up halfway through. I also saw my friend Heather, she and her family came over
Happy National Draw a Dinosaur Day! I love this Amethyst Triceratops by Reddit user ralizhoffman.
Happy Holidays! This year I did a bunch of events for the Holidays! From an Art Giveaway at Understudy from the artist Jonathan Saiz who you'll remember from the Blue Chipped Vending Machine to decorating cookies with friends! (As you can see, we think alike! Dino Ugly Sweaters For the Win!) I also went with my family to the Gaylord hotel to see the Holidaze Cirque performance: View this post on Instagram Cirque! Today is Draw a Dinosaur Day! I found this unusual take on Disney Princesses I just had to share.
Today is National Ugly Sweater Day, so I wanted to share my Ugly Sweater: Dinosaurs wearing Santa Hats! I wore it on my most recent trip to Disneyland, and everyone was commenting and asking where I got it. Mickey and Minnie were also very excited to see it! Both pantomimed what a T-Rex looks like to show they were excited about dinosaurs!
Fall and Halloween is my favorite time of the year. So many fun activities! Early in the month I went to Dinos After Dark at the Denver Zoo and saw some amazing pumpkin carvings and dinosaurs! Then in the middle of the month I went to a haunted house with some co-workers. And of course, it wouldn't be Halloween without some kick ass costumes! This year I was Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus! My backup costume was a Jurassic Park Labtech. Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose I love fall events and put together this list of a lot of fun
I had been meaning to see the Dinosaur Exhibit at the Denver Zoo for months. But never made it. So when I realized it was closing after Halloween I got myself in gear! I visited it at night, during the Dinos After Dark Halloween lights event. I'd highly recommend seeing it during this event. Throughout the zoo there are moving dinosaurs lit up with multi-colored lights. Some even make sounds! Here are some of my favorite photos: Closest thing to a Triceratops a Diabloceratops A volcano! I was amused at this one in front of "Bird World", its a utahraptor.
Fall is my favorite season! Here are some reasons why! It's time to go back to Hogwarts! And this year was the year of "19 Years Later..." Halloween Decorating can start! I was excited that Dino Skeletons are big this year. (Tessa is not a fan.) And it's soup weather! (Or at least it should be. It was 80 degrees when we went to go get ramen.) And its the best time for farmer's markets and visiting my college town of Boulder. Recommended Reading Lili on the Loose This month I recalled some of 2016's fall memories like this beautiful fall
