Today is Free Comic Book Day! The first Saturday in May many local comic book shops throw a party for Free Comic Book Day where you can get a few popular comic books today! My local shop, Time Warp Comics in Boulder does it up big! They usually have many of the Colorado Movie Cars on site, tons of people in costumes, and many more freebies. But don't forget to check out Time Warp for any of your geeky or comic needs outside of Free Comic Book Day. Their staff have always been very helpful and fun to talk to!

A favorite annual fall tradition for me is to go to the Boulder Farmer's Market and pick out a ghost pumpkin. Sure there are tons of local farms where you can pick out a regular pumpkin but I like the white ghost pumpkins as they are more unique for Halloween. I also love to walk through the market and pick out fresh fruits and veggies for the week. Nothing beats local apples (or peaches in the summer!) And many of the stalls offer free samples. Museum Monday: Triceratops Skull

There is a little and overlooked museum on the University of Colorado campus called the Museum of Natural History. It is quite small, but has a good section on dinosaurs. Its main piece is a large Triceratops Skull. It even has its own personality and facebook page. Come check it out at the Henderson Building. This is Part 2 of my 2014 year in review. Home With my change in jobs, I ended up commuting from North Boulder to downtown Denver which was a much longer commute than I was use to. But to be fair, I lived 7-10 minutes away from LifePics and so for years was spoiled with being able to go home for lunch, play with my dog, take a nap, and then head back into work. So the hour plus commute was a big change. Right after I accepted the job at Wayin (but still at LifePics), out of the blue
