A few years ago I went to an exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science called Ultimate Dinosaurs and I was struck by the size of Dinosaurs. This massive vertebra from an Argentinosaurus is as big as a person. This leg of a Futalognkosaurus Dukei made it clear no museum would ever be able to display a full specimen. It isn't just herbivores that are massive, this skull from a Carcharodontosaurus is huge, larger than a T-Rex. It really puts it in perspective how terrifying these animals were. This Amargasaurus fossil is really fascinating. Known from only one skeleton that was mostly complete, it has a unique feature of two parallel rows of tall spines down its body. A long time ago people thought that these spines supported a sail, but now it is thought they were defensive structures that jutted out of the body.
