Museum Monday: Scale of the Dinosaurs

A few years ago I went to an exhibit at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science called Ultimate Dinosaurs and I was struck by the size of Dinosaurs. This massive vertebra from an Argentinosaurus is as big as a person. This leg of a Futalognkosaurus Dukei made it clear no museum would ever be able to display a full specimen. It isn't just herbivores that are massive, this skull from a Carcharodontosaurus is huge, larger than a T-Rex. It really puts it in perspective how terrifying these animals were. A river god reclines by a water basin at the Vatican's Museo Pio-Clementino. It is believed to have been made in the time of Emperor Hadrian but based on an older Greek work. Museum Monday is an every other week series about museum news, objects, and reviews.

I think this will sum up my Hauntingly Favorite Month: So I just got an email from a local cemetery asking if I wanted to meet up tomorrow "To Start Planning For the End". I responded with, "Unless you are a Haunted House/Ghost Tour having a laugh with an epic marketing pitch I'm not interested." They responded with "Nope, we aren't haunted, but appreciate your humor. We'll take you off the list." Man they aren't even trying to sell their cemetery well. "Not Haunted" my ass It is also Tessa's favorite month, but that is because she likes to eat
