Had a good time watching the US vs England Women’s World Cup Game!

And I also got trapped on a bus in a traffic jam for hours, and staged a jailbreak so I could hike off the highway and catch a ride. That was certainly a mini-adventure.

I saw Patton Oswalt’s comedy show, it wasn’t quite what I expected, but he did handle a heckler with grace.

This month was also tough because my dog Tessa got really sick and almost died. After a few stressful days she ended up getting better.

I also went with a friend to The Bachelor auditions which was funny, something I’d never thought I’d do.

Audio Books

On a whim I grabbed Stay Sexy & Don’t Get Murdered: The Definitive How-To Guide. I’ve never listed to their podcast before, but I’ve heard good things. The book was informative, insightful, and fun.

Podcasts

I listened to the scary, Man in the Window, about the Golden State Killer.

Watchlist

TV

Still sucked into the timesink that is The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

But I did watch The Last Czars, as I’m seeing Anastasia next month it was cool to see the historical side.

I also watched Exhibit A and The Confession Tapes Season 2.

Movies

I saw the remake of the Lion King. This is one of the first live action remakes I’ve actually watched…and it was a bit unsettling. I’ve seen the original (well Disney’s original, still need to see Kimba the White Lion) so many times that I could anticipate by frame when things would happen/occur and what it would look like. 95% of the movie was a direct scene by scene rip of the animated version. On one hand, stick with what works, on the other, it was a weird rehash of my childhood.

And on Netflix I watched Katherin Ryan Glitter Room.
