Fall is my favorite season. Its also Tessa’s as she loves to eat leaves:

It’s going to snow tomorrow so made sure Tessa got to do her favorite fall activity: leaf eating.
What’s new this month is that I discovered Bullet Journaling this month. Essentially it’s using a journal as a productivity tool with some art thrown in. Of course, that meant many trips to craft stores, and discovering AliExpress (and buying way too many .10 stickers and washi tape.)
Here is my first “Monthly Cover Page”:
And a Fall Wrap Up of what I did this month:
HALLOWEEN
I love Halloween. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always been obsessed. Case in point, this was my setup on October 1st:
So I decided to do a gauntlet of Halloween events this year! First up was the brand new Pumpkin Nights, a festival with faux pumpkins carved in multiple themed lands. I had so much fun! I even got to meet some real owls (to live out some Harry Potter Dreams!)
Next up was something I’ve wanted to do for ages, visiting the Molly Brown House for their Victorian Horrors. This is where they have actors that portray famous Victorian horror writers and they read passages from their work. I loved it! My favorite was the Goblin Market poem. They also had a psychic do tarot readings.
Then I went to the Denver Botanical Gardens (that same night) to go to Glow at the Gardens. I had been to their holiday lights during December before and found that the Halloween version just didn’t live up to the hype. There weren’t near enough carved pumpkins, some areas were totally dark. I went through it really quickly. I am glad I went once, but won’t need to go again.
I also went to a local fall fare, as they were going to have a Balloon Glow, but ended up having to leave early. But I did have fun hanging out with an old friend I hadn’t seen in a while!
My work got invited to a private Haunted Happy Hour at the Brown Palace Hotel, and knowing how much I love Halloween I was given the tickets! After a weird sales pitch (that I wasn’t expecting) I did get to go on a fun ghost tour of this famous Denver hotel. While I didn’t see any ghosts, I did feel an ominous presence in one of the dining rooms.
Then I did Banjo Billy’s Ghost Tour – Denver Edition! I’ve done the one in Boulder multiple times, so I was excited to do the Denver one. I went with my co-worker and friend Jodi and her husband and had a great time!
Tired yet? On Halloween my office dressed up and watched horror movies all day! And then I went and saw Hocus Pocus in theaters (photos later on.) I dressed up as Ariel from the Little Mermaid (obviously!)

Watchlist
TV
The newest season of Doctor Who started this month with the new Doctor played by Jodie Whittaker. I’m excited to see how this season goes!
I also watched the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix. I was a huge fan of the 90’s TV Show, but man, Netflix hit this dark version of it out of the park. I love the character Ambrose and cannot wait for the next season!
My favorite British Panel Show, Would I Lie to You returned this month. Here is my hands down favorite from a much older season if you don’t know what it is:
As well as catching up on Taskmaster season 7.
Movies
Halloween (non-scary) movies. Seriously. I think I watched over 30 different Halloween themed movies. (I’ll have to post my full list in another post.) I burnt out on Halloween movies. One brand new one I saw this year was Fright Night with David Tennant, which I really enjoyed and will watch again. I also saw Pet Sematary which I hadn’t seen before. I’m just not into those style of movies but glad I’ve now seen it. Another new-to-me movie was Devil’s Advocate with Keanu Reeves which I found really interesting. I’ve heard the movie referenced before but didn’t know what it was about.
However next year I cannot attempt to watch all the Halloween themed movies I own. I think I started some in August and there were still too many to watch before Halloween.
Speaking of Halloween, I saw Hocus Pocus in Theaters dressed as Winifred Sanderson on Halloween Night! It was amazing!
