Watching the new Jurassic World trailer was mixed feelings. I love that there are more dinosaurs, but I hated the cut of the trailer. However, it was cool to see a Carnotaurus featured in the trailer as I had just seen a fossil version at the Denver Museum a few weeks before! Carnotaurus means "Meat Eating Bull" and it lived during the late Cretaceous period in the South America area. If you go: The Ultimate Dinosaurs exhibit runs from October 6th through January 15th at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, 2001 Colorado Blvd, Denver 80205. The exhibit is

Review: Ultimate Dinosaurs at DMNS

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science has a wonderful temporary Dinosaur exhibit. Nearly all of the fossils displayed were new to me, so that was exciting. This exhibit features many recently discovered southern hemisphere dinosaurs. What really wowed me was walking into the main room and seeing all of the massively large fossils. Every other place I've seen dinosaurs at, there was just one or two, and never a full room of them. So I just stood fascinated by these huge animals for a bit before going up and looking at the details. I'll be posting follow up posts on

This is the last in the 3 part series of my favorite candy you can get at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I got these on a whim, and they are so delicious! There are multiple versions of the snowflakes and they have a nice peppermint flavor in the white chocolate, which a little shimmer on the top! And finally, Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans! These are just as classic as Chocolate Frogs! Souvenir Saturday is an every-other week series on the items that represent travel memories.

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day. These stars are on the National WWII memorial, each star representing 100 US personnel that died in the war. There is a plaque that says "Here marks the price of freedom". Very sobering. Every Friday Lili shares her favorite photography & the stories behind the photos.

Souvenir Saturday: Candy from Harry Potter Part 2

For the next few weeks I'm going to share my favorite candy you can get at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! These two items can be purchased at Sugarplum's Sweetshop in Diagon Alley, I don't recall these being mentioned in the books, but they are really good. I was in Orlando around Halloween, so when I saw these Carmel Cobwebs I thought this was perfect for the season. I was sad that this box seemed simplified compared to the ornate designs of other candies. But I was so wrong. These are amazing. They taste lightly of caramel and possibly white
