I tried to keep the month more low key. I added more automated lights and plus to my smart home setup and then mostly started experimenting with watercolor paints (I’m pretty bad at the moment.) I also got this amazing Hogwarts light up Christmas Sweater:
But I did do some fun outings this month:
Hanging Out
Went to a Tiki Bar and did some Pool while my boss was in town:

Museums
And I took a day off this month to hit two different Denver museums.
First up was the Dior exhibit at Denver Art Museum, which I loved. As a kid I wanted to be a museum curator, so I loved how they created new spaces with different lighting, presentation, and sounds. I recommend visiting it while its still here!
Also at DAM I spent some time learning about print making and made my own art! Very relaxing! It was a tie in to a Rembrandt exhibit.
Then I headed to Denver Museum of Nature and Science. The first exhibit Cuba was interesting but very empty that day.
And I found Mindbender Mansion one of the most interactive and engaging museums exhibits ever. Reminds me of doing Odyssey of the Mind back in school.

Having Odyssy of the Mind flashbacks. Mindbender Mansion was fun and Hard!
I then spent some time in their new VR lab area, no one was there so I had fun trying out a lot of the games!
Overall it was a wonderfully fun museum day!

I’m desperately trying to get some posts for 2019 written. Usually, this time of year 2019 is all locked down, but….yeah its not as far along as I’d like…at all. So next years posting schedule may be a bit erratic.

- I really enjoyed this gift guide by Alex in Wanderland that isn’t just gadgets and gizmos.
- I’ve been to San Diego plenty of times and done many of the items on this list, but found it was a great writeup.

Watchlist
TV
This month I struggled to find anything good to watch. I watched the last season of House of Cards and it was so bad I wish I hadn’t wasted my time. I then watched a few episodes of Roman Empire: Reign of Blood and enjoyed it but not enough to stick with it. Then came Knightfall, which had an interesting plot….but really really shitty CGI that was distracting.
Finally, after watching Outlaw King, I stumbled upon The Last Kingdom, but the Viking raids on pre-country-of-England Britan. This is highly well done and I’ve been binge watching it ever since! Love it so much! (Plus its filling the Game of Thrones void at the moment.)
Movies
I just loved Outlaw King on Netflix. Chris Pine was amazing in it and sent me down a rabbit hole researching my Scottish ancestors. I highly recommend this movie!
I saw Fantastic Beasts 2: Crimes of Grindelwald. I know most people hated it, but after the horrible fan-fiction that was Cursed Child (something I try to block from my mind) and the fiasco of the last Star Wars movie (I only remember the Porgs fondly) I somehow didn’t mind FB2:CGÂ much. It was fun. I’m not sure how to handle the twist at the end, but at least the visual quality was still great and introduced more of the Wizarding World, this time in France that felt rich and interesting. Although still hated the Johnny Depp choice, and what was the deal with his eye??
I also watched a handful of Holiday movies before it was December. Netflix’s The Holiday Calendar was cute, while the Princess Switch was very formulaic. I also am not sure what to make of The Christmas Chronicles. I decided I’m not going to watch any of my existing Christmas Movies after last months “WATCH EVERYTHING” gauntlet with my Halloween movies.
Comedy
I watched a lot of Comedy this month: Last Week Tonight, Ari Shaffir, Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, Kevin Hart, etc
But the standouts were John Leguizamo’s Latin History for Morons and Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia. Both were very personal, from the heart, and thought-provoking and I could listen to them both for hours longer.
Gaming
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was scheduled to come out earlier last month. I decided to hold off to get it until it went on sale on Black Friday. Before then I started the last DLC of Assassin’s Creed Origins – Curse of the Pharaohs but didn’t play very far in it. Once I picked up Odyssey I’ve been slowly playing it. I love Ancient Egypt, and having been to Egypt Origins was full of little easter eggs for me of places I’ve physically been to. Odyssey? I have no idea where I am or what is going on, so I’m not having as much fun comparatively so it’s a bit slow going for me.
What’s Next
In December I have a The Fray Concert, White Christmas Play, Company Pizza Making Holiday Party, and Cookie Baking with Friends!
