On a cold rainy (and a little snowy) New Years Day I found myself in a actual Venetian Gondola. I was being serenaded by a man with an accordion. And while it was rainy, it was also magical. We were the only boats out that morning, and due to the cold the typical "smelly water" was nowhere to be smelled. It was amazing gliding through the side canals, under bridges. Me and my friend Heather enjoying our Gondola Ride. Las Vegas gets a bad rap of being gaudy and fake. But that is actually part of its charm and you have to enjoy it for what it is. Take for instance the Gondola Ride at The Venetian hotel. You are serenaded while being ferried around the waters of The Venetian hotel. The start of the indoor route. The inside route is a facsimile for Venice's tight waterways, and you'll float below bridges, shops, and cafes while the fake sky looms overhead and tourists gawk and take

Souvenir Saturday: Mustache Shot Glass

I have a wide collection of shot glasses, but most of mine are functional. This is one of my only kitchy shot glass, from The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. It is in the shape of a Gondolier, the people who guide the small boats in venice. I picked this up after riding the gondola in the hotel.
