There are hundreds of Christmas Markets in Germany during the Christmas season. A of the unique one that I visited was in Munich, and it was a Medieval themed Christmas Market. Found in Wittelsbacherplatz, a short walk from Odeonsplatz it is called the "Adventsspektakel und Mittelaltermarkt" (Advent Celebration and Medieval Christmas Market). Since Christmas Markets in Munich date back to the Middle Ages, it is easy to get in the mood here, with the stalls decorated like a mini-renaissance festival. You'll see people in period dress and they play their roles well. You may also be treated to dancers or musicians for entertainment. The stalls

Remember, Remember the 5th of November...as the day Doc Brown invited the Flux Capacitor....which is what...makes time travel possible! I always post this comment on social media every November 5th. But this time I'm traveling in Egypt! So I'm utilizing my blog's schedule feature to make sure I still do it this year...but this time with GIFS! Behold my power!

A few years ago I fulfilled a childhood dream of going to Hogwarts. I had already learned from Pottermore that I was sorted into Ravenclaw. For years I had thought myself Gryffindor but realized my mistake and found my home in the Claws. So I dutifully got myself my House gear when I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Here I am dressed in my Ravenclaw robes, sweater, and tie for Halloween 2012 I'm your typical Ravenclaw student, I love learning so much I have a Time Turner! Souvenir Saturday is an every-other week series on

Happy Halloween!

By |October 31st, 2015|Categories: Currently Traveling, Geek, Pop Culture, Travel|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

Happy Halloween! When I was little, I wanted to be an Archeologist. This probably stemmed from watching Indiana Jones movies over and over again. So last year I created my own Raider's version of Indiana Jones complete with the Headpiece to the Staff of Ra. I thought it was a pretty awesome costume. But we had a work Halloween party where their kids were invited: Kid 1: Are you a cowgirl? Me: No I'm Indiana Jones. Both Kids *Blank Stare* Kid 2: What is India Jones? Me: ....a Archeologist. Both Kids *Blank Stare* Me: ... I dig up

Back To the Future Day!

By |October 21st, 2015|Categories: Geek, Pop Culture|Tags: , , , , , , , |0 Comments

Today's the day! Its Back to the Future Day! On this date, Marty McFly and Doc Brown came to the future to change it, and in the process fucked things up. How do we know? Because we were set back in our technological timeline! We were supposed to have flying cars, hover-boards, Mr. Fusion...and much much more. Then again, maybe Marty & Doc saved us from the fate of horrible fashion faux pas. Ah who am I kidding. That looks pretty bad ass. Jurassic World is Now Open!

By |June 12th, 2015|Categories: Dinosaurs, Geek, Pop Culture|Tags: , , , |0 Comments

Jurassic Park Jeep! Today is the day! Jurassic World is now open! I'm itching to see it in IMAX 3D! My JP Lab Tech costume for the release of Jurassic Park in 3D. I'm still working on an updated Jurassic World version. Also, I stumbled upon this beautiful parallax website with facts about Jurassic Park movie Dinosaurs. It even has a purple triceratops! Check it out! I've always wanted to try to build a parallax website, and I'm toying with the idea of adding some movement in the next redesign of Lili on the Loose.

I myself identify with the Dark Side, cause they've got cookies! And they really aren't the villains of the story. Plus even Vader likes to travel! Vader being greeted home at DIA The heroes of Denver.

Happy Star Wars Day! Today is May the 4th Be With You and tomorrow will be Revenge of the 5th! I love the original Star Wars, and have a few lightsabers. My favorite mistake of the original movie is when the Stormtroopers enter a room and one hits their head. I'm also very excited for the new movie. Millennium Falcon part was amazing!

Souvenir Saturday: A Weapon for a More Civilized Age

I've written before about my dash through Disneyland, but wanted to show you the awesome lightsaber I built! This is the lightsaber when its "retracted". There is a button that activates the sound and light, and you kind of just throw it upwards to make the lightsaber come fully out. I picked purple as its my favorite color! After you select the base hilt (and if you wanted a double bladed lightsaber) you then select the color, and then select the various hilt customizers. One cool feature not many know about these custom lightsabers is that
