One of my favorite winter drinks is Hot Spiced Cider! But this is the firs time I tried making it myself.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 2 Quarts of Apple Cider
- 2 Quarts of Apple juice
- 1 Orange, quartered
- 1 tea spoon whole Cloves
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 2 teaspoons of ground Cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons All Spice
- 1 teaspoon Apple Pie Spice
- a pinch of Nutmeg
- 1 Granny Smith Apple
- 1 Yellow Delicious Apple
- 1 Honeycrisp Apple
Step 1: Mix Apple Cider and Apple Juice into slow cooker, leaving about 1 1/2 inches from the top. Turn on to high.
Step 2: Take the Granny Smith and Yellow Delicious and slice thinly on a mandolin slicer. Then finely chop the honeycrisp apple and add in.
Step 3: Cut orange into quarters. Then using a toothpick, punch holes into the peel. Then stick the cloves into the holes. Then add in.
Step 4: Then add in the sugar and spices, making sure to mix everything.
Step 5: Cook on high for 4-5 hours or until hot. If you cook it longer, the apples will melt into the mixture giving it more flavor.
Hope you Enjoy!
