The elusive Headless Horseman of Gunbarrel / Boulder, Colorado 2011.
A few years back I lived very close to my office. So close that I would go home at lunch to walk my dog. One Halloween day, I was driving back into work when I saw it! I had heard rumors of the elusive Headless Horseman of Gunbarrel / Boulder, Colorado but didn’t believe the stories. But here he was! Trotting down Jay & 63rd street! I quickly spun a U-turn, and hopped out of my car. The Headless Horseman is a friendly type, and paused to let me take a photo.
For years I stalked out the same area, but never saw him again. But apparently others have!
Randy Haisfield saw him in 2013 around 75th street in Gunbarrel.
Ani Espriella found him on Lookout road in 2010.
Colleen Krueger saw him at Mountain Shadows Montessori School in 2015.

I just saw him today heading east on Jay! It was spooktacular and just what I needed. Made me smile the whole rest of the way home. Thanks to this amazing stranger!
