Jetpack’s Photon Plugin Breaks Images on WordPress

Over a month ago I was overjoyed to have found what I thought was the issue causing my broken image nightmare. While this helped for minor issues, I started having reoccurring issues and this time a refresh wasn't helping. When I went to the link I noticed it wasn't a liliontheloose.com domain, but a wp.com domain. And any broken images would serve up an error of "We cannot complete this request, remote data could not be fetched". Google searches pointed me to years old Wordpress Plugin support, all pointing to the Photon feature. I soon disabled it and everything was working.

How To Fix Random Broken Images in WordPress

Source I have been struggling with the most annoying problem for the last few months. I'd find that images on my blog would randomly be broken. Sometimes on a refresh it would be fine, and then BAM, no more image. I would try re-saving the image, re-saving the post, and sometimes it would work...and sometimes it would break something else. What was so frustrating was that I knew that the images were still there on my server. I knew that the image locations and URLs hadn't changed. Travel Blogging is a tough. There are thousands of already established travel bloggers out there, and daily hundreds more join the fold. That is why Search Engine Optimization is key for any blogger. I'm in the process of making some design changes here at Lili on the Loose! Looking at getting a new logo and webdesign, and a new homepage! I'll also be blogging about the process so any other fellow Travel Bloggers can learn from my experience! While working on this project I have added additional ways to find Lili on the Loose. In the beginning, the site was going to be called Travel Missteps based off my Monday Missteps bi-weekly blog series. But I knew I also wanted to expand out from just funny travel stories, and so did a lot
