I’m afraid of heights. While sometimes I will test this fear, one thing I just cannot handle is very fast roller coasters, or ones that make you go upside down. But when visiting the Wizarding World of Harry PotterĀ I decided I had to see the Triwizard Tournament Dragon Challenge theming for the Dueling Dragon coasters, even if I wasn’t going to ride it. On my second day I had early admission so I entered the queue and slowly walked through it, waving others past me.
First you’ll see the banners for the 4 champions.
As you walk you’ll see the imposing dragons, yeah I won’t be riding these.
And past some scenes from the movies such as the back of Hagrid’s Hut (actually part of the Flying Hippogriff queue) and the Flying Car.
You’ll then come across a bridge that leads into the castle battlements.
Within this castle is the actual Champions tent. Here you’ll see the Goblet of Fire, with its blue flame.
A potion/healing station with a bed, and various luggage pieces from the champions.
As well as the Triwizard Cup and the golden eggs.
Then you’ll come out into a dark area lit by floating candles.
Then you’ll come to signs from the Ministry of Magic explaining the different dragons, and its at this point I needed to take the chicken exit.
I hear now they have strict checks that prevent you from brining anything onto the ride, which includes cameras, so it may be harder to take your own photos.
