The Banco Central de Costa Rica has multiple museums in its subterranean location underneath the Plaza de la Cultura in San Jose, Costa Rica. On the ground level is the pair "museums" of Museo Numismático and Casa de Moneda (while deeper down is the Museo del Oro Precolombino). These top two museums features the historical use of currency in Costa Rica and its oldest pieces are from 1516. A Unicorn at Mythic Creatures at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. I had the opportunity to see the new Mythic Creatures exhibit at Denver Museum of Nature & Science last week at a preview night.  As a child my grandmother gave me a book on fairy tales that captured my imagination. And as I grew up my interest in fantasy books and movies only grew. So I had high hopes for this exhibit! A modern take of a Pegasus as if it was a Carousel Horse. I was on my last afternoon in Ireland, and had a lot of euro coins left over. Knowing that my bank won't exchange coins, was buying random souvenirs as gifts.
