Tomorrow is Veteran's Day. These stars are on the National WWII memorial, each star representing 100 US personnel that died in the war. There is a plaque that says "Here marks the price of freedom". Very sobering. Every Friday Lili shares her favorite photography & the stories behind the photos.

While exploring the small island of Flores, Guatemala I spied this large wooden painting featuring Guatemala's state bird, the Resplendent Quetzal. I love taking photos of domes. This one is in the US Capitol Building's rotunda, and is called the Apotheosis of Washington, showing George Washington as if he was a god. Every Friday Lili shares her favorite photography & the stories behind the photos.
