I mostly stuck to local activities this month.  I went and saw the broadway show Beauty and the Beast. The costumes and songs were well done, but the jokes were a bit jarring. I forgot that it was mostly aimed at children, so the jokes had to be explained very clearly so the kids could get it. But it was still fun.

I also went to the Denver Flea with my friend Roma. We went last year, but this year it was so much bigger! It was a hot but fun day. I ended up getting some Hibiscus drink mixer and tangerine-rosemary lotion.

Lili on the Loose

I was much better blogging about my Egypt trip this month, and so had a lot of great posts! In addition to my Egypt Travelogue I had a few “close ups” posts that I really enjoyed:

Here are my favorite non-Egypt posts this month:

Other Blogs

Early this Month was World Oceans Day, and two great articles I read were Australia’s Coral Cemetery on Mashable and a VR film article called Valen’s Reef on Gizmodo.

I love humor, and Geraldine from The Everywhereist had me laughing with her tale of the Demise of Busky Chow Chow. I also got a huge kick about this untrue story of The American Dream – Tales of the Forgotten Employee.

As to travel, I really enjoyed Nomadic Matt’s 9 Ways to Become a Successful Blogger and the details A Dangerous Business shares about the reality of Antelope Canyon.

TV

Of course I binged watch OITNB as soon as it came out. What a dark season! Beyond that I mostly watched movies, except I started watching the 2nd to last season of Dexter. I go through bouts where I watch it for a bit, and then stop. I hope to have that finished in July.

And of course I religiously watched Game of Thrones and was blown away by the season finale! Now I just need the new book to come out ASAP so I can get my #GOT fix fast.

Movies

This month was very movie heavy. I watched quite a bit of HBO movies and Netflix. This included The Intern and Shawshank Redemption (which I had seen only on TV before, and wanted to watch the uncut/uncensored version).

I watched a lot of Spy films. Good Shepherd was very well done, I do hope they make a sequel or TV series out of it. Tailor of Panama…was really really bad. At the end I was like “What the hell did I just watch?” Then there was MI-5 (getting my Jon Snow fix in between #GOT episodes) which I really enjoyed.

I also watched a lot of heavy based on real life, with lots of tears. This included Everest, A Beautiful Mind, and The Changeling, all of which I highly recommend.

I also watched a lot of depressing futuristic movies. Ex Machina was unexpected and good. Maze Runner 1 I really enjoyed. Maze Runner 2 freaked me out as I didn’t know there were Zombies/horror in it. I then watched Allegiant, and thought the ending was weird, so googled it, before getting the book spoiled because the split the last book (which I haven’t read) into 2 movies. Plus it frankly sucked.

I also saw Now You See Me 2 in theaters, and I actually really enjoyed it.
